Levi David (Far Left) won first place at the 2016 Texas Interscholastic Swim Coaches’ Association Masters meet with a time of 20.49. This was a personal best for Levi and broke his school record he set last year at the state meet. This time automatically qualified him to be a High School All-American, which is a first in the history of Waxahachie Swimming. This award is given to the fastest 100 swimmers in the nation. Last year only 29 swimmers reached the time that Levi posted.
Besides becoming a High School All-American, his time allowed him to qualify to swim in the 2016 Speedo Winter Junior Championships (West) held in College Station on Dec. 8th. This meet is sanctioned by USA Swimming and will have swimmers from throughout the Western United States.
