Waxahachie emerged victorious 66-47 against Crowley on Tuesday on the strength of Larry Wise, who scored 21 points.
Indians was leading 34-21 at the end of the first half after a strong 17-4 run.
Wise was successful from the field, making 50% (6-for-12) of shots attempted as well as 60% (3-for-5) of threes attempted. He also shot well from the line, making 100% (6-for-6) of free throws attempted.
Two other players also scored in the double digits for Waxahachie. Montre Gipson scored 15 points. Qua Grant put three three-pointers on the board and scored 14 points total. Also chipping in for Waxahachie were Tevin Wofford (6 points, 1 rebound, 3 blocks), Xavier Thompson II (6 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal), and Demani Richardson (4 points, 2 rebounds). Gipson was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up five rebounds and five steals.
Waxahachie finished the game with 18 rebounds (8 offensive / 10 defensive), three blocks and 11 steals.
