Howard Warriors Football Round Up vs Lancaster

7th “B” Team
Howard – 0, Lancaster – 19
The Howard B team played a tough, hard fought game against the Terrell Tigers.  It was a battle for most of the game with Lancaster scoring on a three big plays.  Some highlights on the offensive side of the ball came from great play from Jarrell Richardson, John Volentine, and Jyrion Gorosita-Trevino.  Some highlights on the defensive side of the ball came from Asa Condor, Nash Nichols, Briscoe Blaylock, and PJ Roberts.  The Warriors look to bounce back against Walnut Grove next Wednesday night.


7th “A” Team
Howard – 12, Lancaster– 0
The Howard A team played a great game last night.  The defense played a stellar game shutting out Lancaster and not allowing them to get one offensive score.  Jayden Becks started off the game with an interception that was returned 40 yards for a touchdown.  The offensive struggled at times but came through in the clutch to give the Warriors some insurance to put the game away with a tough 3 yard touchdown run from Gregory Hatley.  The offensive and defensive lines played tough and set the tone all night for the Warriors.


8th “B” Team
Howard – 7, Lancaster – 31
The Howard B team fought hard against the Lancaster Tigers last night.  It was a great effort on both sides of the ball, but they couldn’t quite hit their stride.  Brian Mackel had a great 80 yard touchdown run with the help of great blocking from the offensive line.  The defense played well and was flying around on the football field giving Lancaster everything they could handle, but just let a few big plays get away from them.  The Warriors look to put this behind them and get ready for Walnut Grove next week.


8th “A” Team
Howard – 42, Lancaster – 19
The Howard A team had a great win last night against the Lancaster Tigers.  They played great on all three phases of the game.  Jeremiah Sanchez had the first touchdown of the game with a 25 yard run for a touchdown.  Jeremiah Sanchez also threw 2 touchdown passes to Owen McCown.  Owen had a 50 yard catch for a touchdown, and he also made a spectacular catch for a  45 yard touchdown.  Special teams played well, with Adrian Lewis returning a kickoff for a touchdown.  Adrian also had a 40 yard touchdown run.  Jaelyn Davis-Robinson got in on the action with a swing pass that went for a 50 yard touchdown.  The defense played lights out, terrorizing
