Howard Warriors Football Round Up vs Ennis
7th “B” Team
Howard – 0, Ennis – 19
The Howard A team played a great game last night defeating the Ennis Lions 24 – 8. The defense played very well only allowing 8 points to a good Ennis team. The offensive line played another great game allowing the Warriors to move the ball. Chris Parson had a 40 yard touchdown pass to Quen’Vonta Houston for a touchdown. He also had two more touchdown passes to Quen’Vonta Houston for a 30 yards and 60 yards. Chris Parson also had a scramble for a touchdown that went for 40 yards. The Warriors look to continue their stride against Forney Warren next week.
7th “A” Team
Howard – 24, Ennis– 8
The Howard B team had a tough loss last night to the Ennis Lions. The Warriors fought hard on in all phases of the game. Special teams played very well, flying around and making some great tackles. The defense played with tough, relentless effort and caused a fumble that was recovered by the Warriors. The offense moved the ball but couldn’t manage to get one in the endzone. The Warriors look to bounce back next week against Forney Warren
8th “B” Team
Howard – 14, Ennis – 7
The Howard B team played a great game last night against the Ennis Lions. Howard played great on all phases of the game. Amahji Mba recovered a fumble that was caused by Eddie Przybylski on kickoff, which gave the ball back to the Warriors. The offensive and defensive linemen dominated the line of scrimmage all night. Caleb Perry had 25 yard touchdown run. Ryan Darnall also had a great run for a 30 yard touchdown. Kyle Pickett also made a great read to run the ball in for a two point conversion. The Howard defense played tough all night only allowing 7 points. The Warriors went on to beat the Lions 14 – 7.
8th “A” Team
Howard – 32, Ennis – 18
The Howard A team took over where the B team left off with a great performance. The Howard defense played tough all night, really stepping up in the second half to shut down the Lions. Fabian Becks had a great interception that was returned for a 70 yard touchdown. Offensively, the Warriors struggled a little at first but eventually caught stride. Jeremiah Sanchez had a 10 yard touchdown pass to Damien Beck who made a great catch and spin to get into the endzone. Jeremiah Sanchez through a pass to Owen McCown who blew by the defender for a 45 yard touchdown pass. Jeremiah Sanchez also had a great 30 yard scramble for a touchdown. Jordan Lewis capped it off with a 20 yard touchdown catch from Jeremiah Sanchez. The Warriors went on to beat the Lions 32 – 18.
