The Waxahachie Indians Golf Team competed at the 10-5A District Golf Tournament and found themselves in 4th place after all teams had completed their rounds @ TangleRidge. Waxahachie posted a team score of 335 with Midlothian scoring a 334, Lake Ridge scoring a 331 and Legacy with a 325. Day 2 proved to be much better posting a 15 stroke improvement to 320 and securing 2nd place and a Regional Tournament berth. Legacy won the event posting a team total of 642 with Waxahachie @ 655. Midlothian @ 661 and Lake Ridge @ 662. The Varsity 2 NDNS shot their best overall scores of the season with a 345 on day 1 followed by an even better performance on day 2 with a 334. The Indians had 12 golfers compete: Luke Morgan (164), Jake Reames (161), Clayton Knight (171), Jett Tekell (159), Tobyn Hood (184), Luke Thomison (170), Zach Navarro (169), Grant Armstrong (167), Nic Simmel (174), Jake Davis (173), Clay Brown (187) and Michael Davis (184). District 10-5A also honored Waxahachie Golfer Luke Morgan as a 2nd Team All-District member and Jett Tekell along with Jake Reames as 1st Team All-District members. Region II will hold their tournament April 23-24 @ Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club.
