Indians News · WHS Swimming Advances to Regionals


The District 6-6A held it District Championship Meet on Thursday, Jan. 17th.  Nine schools competed from the area in hopes of advancing their swimmers to the regional meet on Feb. 1st & 2nd.  The top 6 in each event move on to compete at the next level.

The Waxahachie Indians were represented by 28 swimmers and had 12 of those swimmers qualify to advance in at least 1 individual event.  5 of the 6 relays qualified to advance.

Individuals

  • Ashlyn Florence – District Champion 200 Individual Medley, Bronze Medalist 100 Breaststroke
  • Hope David – District Champion 100 backstroke, 4th place 100 freestyle
  • Jillian Dayton – Silver medalist 100 freestyle, 5th place in 50 freestyle
  • Savannah Heisler – Bronze medalist 100 freestyle, 4th place 50 freestyle
  • Sarah Smith – 4th place 200 freestyle, 5th place 500 freestyle
  • Darien McArthur – 6th place 200 freestyle
  • Hannah Saenz – 6th place 100 butterfly

 

  • Dylan Florence – Bronze medalist 500 freestyle, 4th place 200 freestyle
  • Logan Morton – 5th place 100 freestyle
  • Rafe Butler – 6th place 100 butterfly
  • Cade Ferry – 6th place 100 backstroke
  • Ethan Brown – 6th place 100 breaststroke
